2024 Lacrosse season Review
The 2024 season was an absolute blast! We kicked off the season in April with a Rampage Rally where we had a mullet station, shot accuracy and hardest shot competitions, Wolverines autograph signing and LAX 101 for parents.
We experienced a 40% increase in registration for our U7 and U9 groups. These young players traveled to Weyburn and Moose Jaw for festivals and hosted their own events, including a 14-team Festival in Swift Current and a 5-team mini U9 Festival in Gull Lake. It was heartwarming to see so many new players and families fall in love with lacrosse.
The mighty U11s had an outstanding season, finishing with an 18-2-1 record. They took 4th at the SLA Provincial Festival in Saskatoon and secured the league championship banner at the SSLL Playoffs in Weyburn.
Our U13s also had a successful season. We saw tremendous growth and development with each and every player. This group has heart and drive and we look forward to watching them grow as they move up in the program.
The U15s demonstrated impressive skills throughout the season, earning third place at the LAX to the MAX tournament, which served as a great preparation for their successful league and provincial run. They went on to win silver at the SSLL Playoffs in Weyburn and brought home bronze at the SLA Provincials in Prince Albert.
The U17s had an incredible season, finishing 3rd in the playoffs after securing 2nd place in the regular season. Despite having a smaller roster, they defied the odds, building strong chemistry and improving each week. The coaches witnessed a tight-knit group of players transform into brothers, creating unforgettable memories. They’re excited for the future and ready to make next year even better!
Rampage lacrosse entered into the world of Field lacrosse in the late summer and fall with teams in U7/U9, and U11/U13. Players and coaches spent 5 weeks practicing and scrimmaging to learn the field version of the sport. They took their skills on the road and participated in the Regina Field Lacrosse Festival in late September and great games were played. We all enjoyed this great experience and are looking very much forward to more field lacrosse in Swift Current!
As a club, we are thrilled to see many young alumni returning to help with coaching. With an astonishing 11 former players on our coaching staff this season, the future of Swift Current Rampage is looking very bright.

2023 Rampage Lacrosse season Review
2023 was an outstanding success on many levels for our Rampage lacrosse players, coaches, officials and our many outstanding volunteers. Things kicked off late in the winter months with skills sessions at the Stockade, Try Lacrosse sessions for new players at local schools leading up to training camps and team selections in March and April.
Our playing season got underway April 21 at S3 West Arena, as we hosted our annual pre-season tournament with teams from Moose Jaw Mustangs and Lloydminster Border Brutes joining in on a great weekend to get the season started. Rampage U13 Team 1 claimed the title for the U13 division vs Rampage Team 2, while the U17 Moose Jaw Mustangs were victorious vs the Lloydminster Border Brutes in the final.
Our U11, U13, U15 and U17 house league teams began league play in the South Sask Lacrosse League April 29. Great coaching and positive attitudes led to amazing development of all our players and teams through the season. Great games were played all season long with things coming to end June 25 in Moose Jaw at the league playoffs.
U7 and U9s took part in game days with Medicine Hat and Moose Jaw, travelling to each centre once, and had 1 game day at S3 West arena. Many memories and new friendships were made as they fell in love with fastest game on 2 feet.
U13 Rampage 1 claimed bronze at league playoffs, while our U15 completed an undefeated season with a league championship versus the Regina Titans. Great work Rampage!
2023 also had Swift Current hosting U11 Box Provincials for the first time and it was an amazing success with plenty of action at S3 West. Teams from all across Saskatchewan took part and the were many memorable moments from great games over the weekend.
July 6-9 saw Rampage team’s participating in U13, U15 and U17 Sask Lacrosse Provincials in Moose Jaw, with our U13 team winning Gold! U15 would claim Bronze, and our U17 followed up with C-side Gold! Great showing by all teams this season.
None of these events could happen without the great volunteers, coaches, officials, players and parents that we have in our organization. Great work and a HUGE THANK YOU to all for making this season an outstanding success.
