Three Swift Current Rampage players made the Jr A bantam draft held this year for the first time by SWAT. Marshal Clothier went 13th, Zach Cloutier went 20th and Ryder Turko went 22nd. Congratulations to these players! They will have opportunities to participate in some camps and training.
On Sunday, June 17th Swift Current Rampage Lacrosse will host a tyke and mini tyke lacrosse festival. Parents and players in these two divisions will have a chance to match their skills against each other, followed by refreshments and pizza.
Mini-Tyke 1:30 - 2:15, wrapped up by 2:45 p.m.
Tyke 3:00 - 4:30, wrapped up by 5 p.m.
The two Peewee and two Bantam Rampage teams host their season opener home tournament starting on Friday, April 20th at Fairview West arena. We are excited to welcome Brooks, Estevan, Moose Jaw, Regina, and Weyburn teams to Swift Current. Come support your local athletes and watch lacrosse in action all weekend! Our AGM will be held on Thursday, March 22nd at 7 p.m. at Walker Place. Please come out to hear the updates for the 2018 season.

If you are interested in playing the lacrosse, we will be at City Wide Registration at the Stockade on March 14th from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Novice, Peewee, Bantam, and Midget teams will be playing in the new South Sask Lacrosse League this year. Mini-tykes and Tyke level players play locally.
SC "Rampage" team wear will also be available at the registration event.

The Saskatchewan Rush are
looking for players in the bantam and midget divisions to participate in the
NLL Jr Tournament held this year in Oakville, Ontario.
The Saskatchewan Rush have been a huge supporter of Minor Lacrosse in Saskatchewan and now it is our turn to support them! This Saturday, June 10th, 2017, the Sask Rush will play in Game #2 in the NLL Championships. Lets support the team by giving them a packed house and help send them back to Georgia to win their third straight Championship Title!
To help pack the Sasktel Center full of our Lacrosse family, the SLA is offering all current SLA members and teams the opportunity to purchase tickets to the game for only $25. To get your tickets email email@example.com by Thursday, June 8th at noon. In your email make sure to list how many tickets you wish to purchase and what SLA Member Association you belong to. You will receive an email on Friday on where you can pick your tickets up and where to send payment.
Both the peewee and bantam teams are hosting games this weekend at the Fairview West arena against Medicine Hat. Peewee game times are 10:00, 11:30, 2:30, and 5:30. Sticks will be provided, but players should bring indoor running shoes and a hockey helmet. Adults interested in helping and coaching are also welcome.
Registration is open for Barracuda Lacrosse, which are competitive Peewee A, Bantam A, and Midget A teams. The commitment is Saturday practice and two tournaments - May long weekend (Saskatoon) and the Canada Day Cup (Calgary). Midget players would be eligible for this, as their games are on Sunday.
The Annual General Meeting will be held March 21st at 7 pm at Walker Place, 2150 Walker Street (by Service Master).
All lacrosse players must have a parent representative present at the meeting.
Registration deadline for coaching applications is March 15th.
A coaching clinic will be held 8:30 am - 5 pm on March 25th at Central School.
An officials clinic will be held 12 -5 pm on April 1st at Central School.

On June 26th, the Swift Current Novice White team won bronze in the Southern Alberta Lacrosse Association playoffs.
The Swift Current Bantam Blue team won bronze in the Southern Alberta Lacrosse Association playoffs on the weekend.
Last weekend the Swift Current Rampage Bantam team attended the three-day P.A. Daily Herald Classic lacrosse tournament. With a final empty-net goal, the SC Rampage defeated the
Prince Albert Fury 5-3 to win the bantam goal medal.
There is still room in these two divisions for players born between 2008 - 2012. This is a house league with no travel required. The focus will be on skill development, good sportsmanship, and having fun.

There were 64 people from the Rampage family that attended the Saskatchewan Rush game Saturday night! It was a fun bus trip and many were attending their first NLL game! There were over 15,000 fans packed to the rafters of SaskTel Center. Our club helped sell the 50/50 ticket throughout the evening. The take home for one lucky winner was an all time high of over $45,000! The atmosphere at the game was incredible with enthusiastic crowd support cheering the Rush to their victory of 11-8 over the Colorado Mammoth. The Rush is now 1st place in the West and headed for playoffs. After their big win, Mark Matthews and Nick Bilic then came to Swift Current on Sunday to host a clinic with our lacrosse players.
An excited crew of SC Lacrosse players & board members accept a generous $1000 grant from TD Play, presented by Swift Current branch manager Kara Cale and financial advisor Kristin Carlson. funds from this grant were used to purchase goalie equipment (pictured) for our new Pee Wee tea. THANK YOU TD PLAY!! Grant & sponsorship funding help our club continue to expand while keeping fees affordable for all players.

Saskatoon is now the home of a National Lacrosse League team - the Saskatchewan Rush! The 2016 season is already underway with a season opener win against the Calgary Roughnecks on January 2nd. Visit their website for league information and tickets.
Our president, Rob Johner, stepped down and moved into the position of “past president” of Swift Current Lacrosse. Thank you to Rob for his dedication and hours of service in his role as president. Congratulations to Naomi Pribyl who accepted the Interim President position at the last executive meeting.
Rob has a new role as Vice President - Planning and Development for Saskatchewan Lacrosse. He will be working at the provincial level to grow the sport with the same enthusiasm he brings to our local club.
The SALA Playoffs were held on June 20-21st. Congratulations to our Peewee team who brought home the bronze medal for their division.
Thank you to the coaches, board members, and volunteers who helped grow the sport of lacrosse by working with the Tykes and Mini-Tykes this season. The players were enthusiastic as they learned ball handling skills and the rules at their games and scrimmages. Looking forward to seeing the players return next year!
